A Simple Turn. A Stranger. And a Christmas Story Only God Could Write.

A roadside crisis becomes a tender reminder of the gift God keeps giving at Christmas.

Hi friends,

Every year as Christmas approaches, the distractions and “noise” of the season seem to get a little louder. The lists grow longer. The expectations rise. Loneliness and sadness can find their way in too. Yet, somewhere underneath it all, there’s always something that brings us back to what matters.

Today, I’m sharing a story on the show that isn’t new… it’s actually almost a decade old. But in a season full of distraction and so much darkness in the world around us, this story takes us right to the heart of Christmas, where God’s light shines bright with hope and His gift-giving is always at work, often in places we’d never expect. Even on the side of a road near Athens, Georgia.

It begins with a man named Chris Wright and a woman named TunDe Hector, total strangers passing each other at the exact moment one of them was nearly out of hope. And what unfolded is a reminder that our acts of worship can become part of a story only God can orchestrate.

I won’t share the whole story here…I’d love for you to listen to the episode, as my hope is that it returns us to what Christmas is really about: the Gift Giver and the love that draws a response from our hearts.

Because there is a rhythm we find in Christmas:
God gives.
We receive.
We respond.
We worship.
We give.
And Jesus is glorified.

It is a full-circle grace. And we are so blessed to be a part of it.

Now…a quick update about the show. This is the last Thursday Edition of The InSight Out Show until after the New Year. But don’t worry, our Anchor Point devotionals will still show up throughout the week on the podcast. We’re just giving Thursdays a brief holiday rest. Ahh.

Have a very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year!

Devin
