Seeing Clearly in a Blurry World

This week, we’re talking about what it means to truly see. Not just with our physical eyes, but with spiritual ones. From blurry medicine labels to broken tax systems to unexpected car rides, this week is all about seeing more clearly, with both our eyes and our hearts.

Hi friends,

My son’s been sick this week with some virus, so we’ve been in medicine mode. We picked up his script and other medicine and once again…I can’t read anything on the bottle. Just a bunch of black blurry lines. Can’t read a thing. Thank goodness for phones! I took a picture and zoomed in to actually see what it says.

I don’t want my spiritual vision to be like that: blurry, flat, stuck in two dimensions. I want to see clearly. I want to see what God sees. What He’s doing. But how do we actually do that? Physical sight is one thing, but spiritual sight? That’s something entirely deeper.

That’s what today’s show is about along with some things happening in the news. From the sweet unexpected bond between an Uber driver and a 92-year-old passenger, to the infuriating reality of broken tax assessments that are forcing people out of their homes. We’re asking this question: What are we really seeing? And how can we see the world more like God does?

Today’s episode:

💊 A blurry medicine label and why sometimes we can’t see what we need to.

🚗 The Uber driver who truly saw the man, not just the passenger, and how it changed both of their lives.

🏡 Why homeowners across America are being unfairly taxed.

🔦 How Scripture helps us develop spiritual sight in a world that often only sees the surface.

Come hang out and listen.

Have a blessed week,

Devin

Short, devotional reflections that anchor our day in truth.

TRUTH IN

FAITH OUT

Truth In: It’s not that we aren’t looking. It’s that we’re looking through the wrong lens. Physical sight can be sharp, but spiritual vision takes depth. And too often, we’re squinting at life with one eye closed.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened…” – Ephesians 1:18

Faith Out: We live in a world full of noise, labels, and surface impressions. But following Jesus means learning to see beneath all that. So let’s ask ourselves this week:

  • Am I seeing this situation with spiritual clarity or just reacting?

  • Am I looking through the lens of truth… or through the fog of frustration?

  • Am I open to what God is showing me, even if it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient?
