The Technology That’s About to Change Grief Forever...
In trying to ease our pain, this new trend may be reshaping our faith in ways we don’t see yet.

Hi friends,
Lately I’ve been noticing these small shifts in our culture. Little things that look comforting on the surface but quietly move us away from actually walking through hard things, like grief. New tools and tips that tell us that maybe we don’t have to feel the full weight of loss anymore.
Is that a good thing? Because grief, as hard as it is, is one of the places God meets us most deeply. When we’re offered shortcuts around it, I think something important gets lost.
Today’s main story on The InSight Out Show takes us right into this new version of comfort we’re being offered.
Start around the 8:00 minute mark if you want to jump straight to this story. Listen.
Have a blessed week. No new show next Thursday. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Here’s what’s on today’s InSight Out Show:
⚓ Anchor Point: Rules, Signs, And The Voice We Actually Follow. A mislabeled door, an overthinking moment from my high school tennis days, and the difference between rigid obedience and listening to the Shepherd in real time. When does “following directions” drown out discernment?
💬 Everyday Questions: 10 Things Third Graders Can’t Do. A teacher’s list just went viral. Some of it will make you laugh, some of it might make your stomach drop a little. Let’s just say it reveals a lot about where we are in 2025.
🏛️ Main Story: A New Kind Of Comfort. A touching, emotional moment that looks sweet on the surface, but reveals a shift in how we’re being encouraged to handle loss. Our culture keeps offering easier ways around grief and this one might be the biggest shortcut yet.
🌿 The Bigger Lens: What happens when we try to soften the hardest parts of being human? When grief gets smoothed over, reimagined, or replaced with something “easier,” what do we lose spiritually? And how do we stay rooted in the place God actually meets us, even when it’s uncomfortable?
