Would You Let Someone Do This to Your Mind?

Hi friends,

A high school principal was hypnotizing students.

Not as a licensed therapist. As the principal.

Over several years, more than 70 students participated. Some parents signed off. Some students said it helped them. Others, not so much.

Then in 2011, three students who had been in private sessions died within weeks of each other. Two deaths were ruled suicides. One was a fatal car crash. Investigations never established a direct link to the hypnosis.

And it raises important questions.

Why was a school authority figure practicing hypnosis at all?
And how should Christians think about giving someone access to our subconscious?

Scripture says, “Be alert and of sober mind.” — 1 Peter 5:8
